Emergency services rushed to Redleaf Pool on New South Head Rd in Double Bay at around 2.30pm on Thursday due to welfare concerns.

The person, who was intervened by medical teams, died at the scene.
“Police located the scene and launched an investigation into the incident,” a spokesman said.
