Man due in court charged with attempted murder after car hit pedestrians

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a vehicle crashed into pedestrians on a busy west London road on Saturday.
Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder, as well as dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a breath sample for analysis and criminal damage, the Metropolitan police said.
The Somali-born man was detained and will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court later.
Counter-terrorism police launched an initial investigation but the incident at Ealing Broadway is not being treated as terrorism.
Following the incident, 3 people were taken to hospital and 2 people were treated at the scene.
None of the injuries were life-threatening or life-changing, according to the Met.
