Man electrocuted in scissor lift incident in Laverton North, WorkSafe to investigate

A worker died of electrocution after his scissor lift crashed into power lines in Melbourne’s west, with WorkSafe currently investigating the tragic accident.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Geelong Road in North Laverton at around 2pm on Monday.
The identity of the 55-year-old man has not been officially disclosed.

Footage obtained by 7News shows the man’s colleagues consoling each other after the incident.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and are not treating the incident as suspicious.
A Victoria Police spokesman said WorkSafe had been notified of the incident.
