Man jailed for harassing lion in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar

The incident appeared after a video circulating on social media at the beginning of this week, and showed that the man was approaching the wild animal in a dangerous way as he recorded it on his mobile phone. In the video, Aslan, who sees a feast in his hunt, blames the man while invading his field. Despite the threat, the man continues the film, only the lion takes him back after returning to him after a short time. The audience can be heard while shouting in the background to guide the attention of the animal.

After the circulation of the video, the Setrunji Wildlife Department launched an investigation. The authorities defined the place as near Talli village in the Talaja series and followed the individual seen in the shooting. Gautam, the resident of the region, was defined as shiyal.

According to the forest department, Shiyal was arrested on Wednesday in accordance with the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Law to disturb and endanger a protected species. He was produced in a local court in the town of Talaja, where the bail application was rejected and withdrew to his judicial custody.
