Man killed in waterfront crash at Eastern Beach, Geelong

A man has died in a crash at a popular Geelong beach.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Eastern Beach Road at around 6.30am on Sunday.

One person, whose identity has not yet been determined, died at the scene.

While the vehicle suffered major damage, a large amount of debris was left behind.

One eyewitness described the incident as “very sad”, while another said he heard the crash, the Geelong Advertiser reported.

Police announced that no pedestrians were harmed in the accident.

Investigations continue.
