Man ploughs stolen bulldozer into village pub after taunts | News

A man who crashed his stolen bulldozer into a local village pub has been jailed.

Daniel Morgan, 35, of Aberdare, was drinking at The New Inn in Cefn Rhigos, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard Morgan, a regular at the bar, was “looking red” after being taunted over the breakdown of his marriage.

The court heard Morgan stormed out of the pub and texted the landlord to say “be careful, you can’t stop the bulldozer” and “it’s going to be a drive-thru” before stealing the old Hanomag d600 from his father’s nearby farm.

Morgan had previously pleaded guilty to aggravated driving, dangerous driving and recklessly causing criminal damage endangering life. He was sentenced to 40 months’ imprisonment and disqualified from driving for three years and three months on Thursday, May 14.
