Flights to 10 cities to begin operations in Phase 1, inauguration to be held on THIS date

Noida International Airport will open in late November or early December and will offer flights to 10 major cities. IndiGo and Akasa will operate here, followed by international flights. The airport will increase connectivity, support cargo services and help farmers in western UP.
As Noida International Airport becomes one of the most developed airports in the country, the countdown has begun for its opening. Located in Jewar, this much-anticipated project is expected to make a significant contribution to both the aviation industry and the local economy, especially in western Uttar Pradesh. If all goes as planned, the airport will officially open in late November or early December, and domestic flights will begin shortly after.
Flights to 10 cities in Phase 1
Developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), Noida International Airport promises to be a game changer in air travel in the Delhi-NCR region. The airport will cater to a wide range of passengers, including both domestic and international passengers. In the first phase of operations, flights will be made to 10 major cities of India. These will include Varanasi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chennai, Patna and Srinagar, with daily flights operating to each destination. More than 150 domestic flights are expected to operate from the airport from the start, providing greater connectivity and travel convenience to passengers in the region.
IndiGo and Akasa Air are making this their home base
IndiGo and Akasa Air have signed agreements to set up operational centers at the airport. This means both the airlines will park their aircraft at Noida airport and use it as their home base. Other leading airlines such as Air India and SpiceJet are in talks to establish a presence at the airport and further enhance its operational capacity and connectivity options.
International competitions will begin in Phase 2
After the successful launch of domestic operations, international flights are expected to start in the second phase. Additionally, cargo services will begin on the day the airport opens. These services will initially focus on Middle Eastern destinations, which will be especially beneficial for farmers in Western Uttar Pradesh. By enabling faster transportation of fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables by air, farmers in regions such as Etah, Etawah, Mathura, Agra, Aligarh, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar will have direct access to international markets, allowing them to benefit from new income streams.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally inspected the progress of the project and emphasized the importance of completing all construction work before the opening of the airport. After the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) completes the licensing process, ticket reservations will be made available to the public.
Noida International Airport will revolutionize air travel in the Delhi-NCR region, offering new economic opportunities for local farmers and establishing western Uttar Pradesh as a major hub for both domestic and international air travel.
