Manchester Arena bomb plotter Hashem Abedi charged with attempted murder after attacking prison guards

Manchester Arena Plotter Hashem Abedi was accused of three murder attempts after four prison officials were injured in the maximum security prison.

The 28 -year -old Abedi is accused of real physical damage and a number of unauthorized knife or aggressive weapons after the incident in HMP Frankland in Durham on April 12th.

Against Terrorism Policing North East, Durham Constabulary and HMP Frankland, the incident was doing a “comprehensive investigation”, he said.

Abedi, who stayed in prison, will appear in the Westminster Magistrate Court on 18 September.

After the incident, three prison officers were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Speaking in April, the families of five people who were killed in the Bombarding Manchester Arena said that they were in “insecurity ,, and attacked prison officers in HMP Frankland.

Abedi, a long -term prisoner at HMP Frankland’s Separation Center, helped his brother to bomb a suicide bombardment of an Ariana Grande concert in 2017 and was imprisoned for at least 55 years of imprisonment for the murders of 22 people.

In 2020, he moved to the separation center after he attacked prison officials in London’s MMP Belmarsh.

Families’ letter to Mrs. Mahmood says: “We write with absolute disbelief,” he says, once again “bad hashem Abedi was allowed to cause danger to life”.

“Megan Hurley, Eilidh Macleod, Chloe Rutherford, Liam Curry and Kelly Brewster’s families, in May 2017 in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack with 16 people with a tragic, dear children, we find this situation beyond understanding.”

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) said it would initiate a complete independent examination of how the attack could take place.

In response to the letter, he said that his thoughts remained with the victims and families of Manchester Arena bombing.

A MOJ spokesman added: “The government will do whatever it takes to keep our hardworking staff safe, and as our thoughts are heal, he still stays with two prison officials in the hospital.

“We immediately took action to suspend access to kitchens in separation and close audit centers.”
