Krishna Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, who was observed on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha in Shravana or Bhadrapada. This year, Janathtami will fall on August 16, 2025. 1. Dhaniya Listen:
Lightly fry the coriander seeds, then turn it into a powder. Heat Ghee in a pan, add dry fruit, sugar, cardamom powder and mix with coriander powder. This aromatic panjiri is a fundamental staple of Janmashtami Prasad.
2. Makhan Mishri:
Makhan Mishri, a simple but divine offer, is mixed with fresh white butter (MAKHAN) rock sugar (Mishri).
3. Peda:
Cook Khoya continuously with powdered sugar over low heat. Add cardamom and saffron for flavor. After thickening, shape in small pads and decorate with chopped dried fruits.
4. MOHAN BHOG:
Black ant (Suji) in Ghee until gold. Boil the milk separately and add to the layout while stirring to prevent pellets. Mix sugar, cardamom, saffron and hazelnuts. Cook until thick and serve as BHOG.
5. Ghewar:
Prepare a smooth gram flour (Besan), Ghee and water. Pour into the hot Ghee until it creates a disc shape, fry until it is crisp and dip it into sugar syrup. Decorate with hazelnuts, saffron and cardamom.
6. Panchamrut:
A sacred mixture of five materials such as milk, yogurt, honey, ghee and sugar. Mix them well until smooth. Panchamrut is considered to be quite auspicious and presented as Prasad.
7. Boondi Laddoo:
Make a dough with grams of flour and water, then fry small droplets in hot oil. Dip them into the sugar syrup, mix with hazelnuts and cardamoms, then shape it to Laddoos when it’s hot.
8. Makhana Paag:
Fry Lotus Seeds (Makhana) in Ghee up to crispy. Prepare a single -threaded sugar syrup and mix with roasted machana and cardamom powder. After cooling, enter the crisp pieces.
9. Jalebi:
Multipurpose flour (Maida) and yogurt a smooth dough and make fermented overnight. The pipe shaped spiral hot oil, fry until golden and immersion immediately with saffron or cardamom into delicious hot sugar syrup.
10. RASGULLA:
Curl the milk with lemon juice to make fresh chenna. Knead until smooth, turn it into balls and cook in boiling sugar syrup until soft and spongy. As a sweet BHOG, serve as dipped in syrup.
