Manchester travel chaos LIVE: Massive rail delays | UK | News

Passengers entering and exiting Manchester today are facing travel chaos with major delays affecting the network after a man tragically crashed into a train. National Rail says there is major disruption between Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield/Crewe.

The outage is expected to last until 19.30 this evening. Affects East Midlands Railway (EMR), Avanti West Coast and CrossCountry services, including to Manchester Piccadilly

A CrossCountry spokesman said: “Some lines are blocked due to emergency services dealing with an incident between Stafford and Stockport. Train services passing through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or diverted.”
