Manhunt launched after woman ‘raped in broad daylight’ in park

The police appeal to receiving information after reporting that a woman was raped in a park in Eastern Sussex.
Sussex police said that the incident in the Barrack Hall Park in Bexhill was reported immediately after 5.30 on Monday.
The force said that the victim, a woman in her twenties, received support from specially trained civil servants.
The Sussex police described the alleged perpetrators as a short -sleeved top and a white man wearing trousers. He is not believed to be recognized by the victim.
The force said the officers are willing to talk to everyone in or around the Barrack Hall Park between 16.30-17:30 on Monday, August 18th.
In addition, they are attractive to anyone who may have taken video images in the park, including mobile phones, Dashcams or other devices, because this can provide vital evidence.
Officers also look at CCTV in the region.
Detective Inspector James Meanwell said: uz We understand that this event will lead to a significant concern in the local community. We want to guarantee that we are working with special patrols to ensure a comprehensive investigation to residents.
“In this investigation, the victim will continue to receive full support of expert officers.
“We appeal to everyone who may have been in the Barrack Hall Park or around for the crime to contact immediately.”
