Manipur Police asks people not to circulate content on social media that can generate ‘fear’

Manipur Police has asked the public not to share content on social media that could create “unnecessary fear and panic”. Police also said such actions would lead to legal action.
“A video showing armed militants in Myanmar is circulating on social media… the public is advised not to spread such content as it may cause unnecessary fear and panic. Such action will lead to legal action,” police said in a statement on Friday night, November 14, 2025.
Police also said: “Security forces across the state, including those deployed in border areas, remain extremely vigilant and are taking all necessary measures to maintain peace and ensure public safety.”
