Manufacturing to play central role in achieving TG’s $3 trillion economy vision

HYDERABAD
The manufacturing sector will play a central role in realizing Telangana’s vision of transforming it into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, a senior official of the state government said at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) conference here on Friday.
The state has consistently been among the top achievers in industrial growth and aims to double its contribution to the national GDP from 5% to 10%, IT and Industry Minister Sanjay Kumar said in his speech at the ‘Man’Exe-2025’ conference organized by CII Telangana.
He said this while highlighting the progress made by the State on the Ease of Doing Business front, skills initiatives and provision of world-class infrastructure. Telangana is tightly focused on realizing its vision of a $3 trillion economy. CII-TG, in his speech at the programme, said that the global quality Artificial Intelligence Centre, Skills University and industrial parks dedicated to MSMEs and women entrepreneurs are some of the latest and upcoming initiatives that reaffirm the government’s commitment to promoting innovation, quality and inclusive growth.
The benefits and challenges of emerging technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence, and the need for collective efforts to make the most of the opportunities were highlighted by industry leaders in the manufacturing sector, who spoke at the conference, the 21st of the series, under the theme “Building resilience: overcoming disruptions and ensuring the future growth of manufacturing”.
Mahindra Group CEO – AI Division Bhuvan Lodha said AI goes beyond experimentation and is “vital in everything from productivity and quality to supply chain and operations”.
