Maoist with ₹15 lakh bounty killed in gunfight with security forces in Jharkhand, say police

India’s Liberation Front (PLFI), a regional commander of the ban with banned Maoist Group, said in a statement on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, a prize of 15 Lakh in his head, was killed in an armed conflict with the security forces in the Gumla region of Jharkhand.

A senior officer came out on Tuesday (August 6th) when the powers carried out a search operation in the Changabadi Upartoli region at around 21.30 between PLFI members and security personnel in the Changabadi Upartoli region.

Gumla SP said that some Maoists in the region received a clue about the presence of some Maoists and that more than one team was established to perform the operation accordingly.
“During the change of fire, there were four Maoists. All three of them managed to escape from the ground, taking advantage of the darkness,” he said.
