Mapped: The areas of the UK with the highest levels of crime revealed

Police forces recorded 6.6 million crimes in England and Wales last year, including official figures and a sharp increase in theft.
According to the National Statistics Office (OK), it rose from 6.1 million in the pandemic year of 2019-2020 and 4.2 million in 2014-2015 ten years ago.
The figures published by Ones used the data collected within the scope of a crime research for the UK and Wales. He showed that the number of crimes against individuals and households in England and Wales increased to about 9.4 million per year in March 2025.
Since the current police registration applications started in 2003, the highest figures have increased.
The theft from the crimes remains at record levels and 151,220 recorded by forces in March annually increased by 131,584 in the previous 12 months.
Meanwhile, the number of murders fell by below a percentage, the lowest level has been recorded for more than ten years.
Independent brought together the following maps, which showed the total crime, murder, sexual crime and theft separated by the police force fields in England and Wales:
Metropolitan police, last year recorded the most crimes and 942,674 crimes in London.
The Great Manchester police watched more than 319,000 crimes, while the West Midlands police came third with approximately 309,000.
On the other hand, the London city of London, covering the small financial zone, recorded more than 9,000 crimes, the lowest level of any power.
Cumbria Constabulary had about 37,000 crimes and Dyfed-Pawys in Wales were recorded by about 38,000.
The metropolitan police also saw the highest number of murders with 104 murders throughout the year. West Midlands police 31 and Greater Manchester police reported 27.
The country’s largest police force saw the most sexual crime with more than 55,000 recorded incidents. Western Yorkshire police came with about 46,000, then the Great Manchester police came with about 43,500.

Shopping production is also concentrated in the largest metropolitan areas. London took part in the list with approximately 94,000 crimes, West Midlands police recorded around 32,700, and West Yorkshire police recorded approximately 22,700 events.
Retail bosses warned that official statistics are likely to be the tip of the iceberg, and the store owners need to see instant results because the ministers promised thousands of civil servants for neighborhood policing.
Since Ones said that these estimates are still developed and are subject to change, it is not possible to be careful when making a comparison between two years and whether the difference was statistically significant.
Interior Minister Yette Cooper said: “This summer, our new neighborhood policing guarantee means that more than 500 city centers will take extra neighborhood patrols and action on the crime of the city center, and in the next spring we provide the first 3,000 increase in neighborhood officers and PCSOs.”
Crime research for the UK and Wales includes a series of personal and household victims such as theft, robbery, criminal damage, fraud, and violence without any injury or injury, but it does not contain sexual crimes, follow -up, harassment and domestic abuse.
Theft has been on a wide tendency since the mid -1990s since theft or injury measured by the criminal damage and ounce survey.
