Marjorie Taylor Greene learning loyalty is ‘one-way street’ with Trump: Phillip

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has learned that loyalty is a “one-way street” for President Donald Trump, CNN host Abby Phillip said in an interview on “The View” on Wednesday.
“I think Marjorie Taylor Greene, there’s probably some truth to the idea that she had bigger dreams, whether it was for the Senate or the governor’s race, and they weren’t supported, but what happens when the person you’ve been supporting for the last six, seven years suddenly turns on you? I think it really changes your mindset about everything,” Phillip told the co-hosts.
Greene parted ways with Trump over the Epstein files, Obamacare subsidies and some of his foreign policies. The president withdrew his support for Greene and called her, among other things, a “raging lunatic.”
“It calls into question everything you know about yourself, and I think there’s a lot to that. I don’t think we should ignore that he said no to the Senate right now. He said no to the governor right now. So I don’t think we should ignore that because, frankly, life is long,” Phillip said. “But this loyalty thing with Trump, if you’ve followed him like I have, you know it’s a one-way street. But he’s literally learning that.”

MARJORIE GREENE SAYS TRUMP’S ‘TRAITOR’ LABEL COULD PUT HER LIFE IN DANGER
Phillip said he believes Greene realized Trump “wasn’t there for her.”
At a press conference on Tuesday, Greene criticized Trump for calling her a “traitor” despite his loyalty to her.
“I was called a traitor by a man for whom I fought for five, no actually six years, and gave him my loyalty for nothing,” Greene said. According to ABC News.
“I won my first election without his approval, I beat eight men in the primary and owed him nothing, but I fought for him, for the policies, and for America first, and he called me a traitor for standing with these women and refusing to remove my name from the discharge petition,” he added.

The Georgia congresswoman said Sunday she hoped she and Trump would reconcile during a CNN interview and also apologized for participating in “toxic policies.”
“I certainly hope we can make peace. And again, you know, I can only speak for myself. I’m a Christian and one of the most important parts of our faith is forgiveness. And that’s something I’m committed to,” Greene said.
