Pet-Basheerabad police arrest three members of motorcycle theft gang, recover 21 stolen bikes

Pet-Basheerabad police arrested three members of an interstate motorcycle theft gang and recovered 21 stolen motorcycles allegedly stolen from different parts of Telangana and neighboring Andhra Pradesh.
The arrested persons were identified as Bouri Ashok Singh (19) from Yellammabanda in Kukatpally, Ayalpuram Raghupathi alias Raghu (22) from Siddipet district and Bandi Praneeth alias Sonu (23) also from Siddipet district. Police said all three had previous criminal cases registered against them.
They were arrested near Maisammaguda following an investigation into a series of vehicle thefts.
The other two accused, identified as Chaitanya alias Sunny and Suresh, are absconding with the two children.
According to police, the accused formed a gang and allegedly targeted motorcycles parked in Telangana and neighboring Andhra Pradesh. They went to different places in a car, stole motorcycles and fled the scene. While it was claimed that the people arrested during the interrogation confessed to their involvement in 19 cases, the police seized 21 stolen motorcycles.
The gang has been linked to six motorcycle theft cases registered at Pet-Basheerabad police station so far this year. Further investigation is ongoing to establish the involvement of these individuals in other cases.
Apart from the stolen motorcycles, police also seized a Suzuki Ertiga car, three mobile phones, two screwdrivers, five electrical switches, two cutters and two master keys, which were allegedly used to commit the offences.
The suspects who were referred to the courthouse were arrested and sent to prison. Police said the arrests were made after analyzing CCTV footage and developing local intelligence as part of a special investigation launched to solve a series of vehicle thefts.
