Mark Wright is branded ‘cruel’ and ‘vile’ after ‘diabolical’ old TOWIE scene with ex Lauren Goodger goes viral online

Mark Wright has been branded ‘cruel’ and ‘vile’ after his ‘diabolical’ ex TOWIE scene with ex-girlfriend Lauren Goodger went viral online.
The Only Way Is Essex OG, 38, was one of the series’ original cast members when it launched in 2010 but announced he would be leaving a year later when the third series wrapped.
Lauren and Mark’s tumultuous eight-year relationship ended on the reality show in 2012, and Mark is now married to actress Michelle Keegan.
Almost 15 years later, a scene from the show’s first Christmas special in which Mark juggles three women has resurfaced on TikTok and people are outraged.
His ex-girlfriend Lauren, who is still madly in love with him, is seen chatting with Mark at a party while giving him hope of getting back together, and then brutally crushing them.
One minute before this conversation, Mark was flirting with co-star Sam Faiers; she then gets into a taxi with him, kisses him, and walks away before winking at the camera.

The scene begins with Mark walking up to Lauren and asking: ‘What would your ideal Christmas gift be?’
‘I don’t know. Go to New York, get away,’ Lauren says, before Mark asks: ‘With who?’
Lauren replies ‘you’ and Mark coldly says: ‘Honestly you know I’ll meet you again tonight if we can work this out.’ But I don’t think that can happen right now.
‘I still love you. ‘I don’t need to lie to you.’
‘If you had to choose someone in your life, who would it be?’ Lauren asks and Mark says ‘of course’ it would be him because it’s ‘the easiest option’.
‘What do you mean by the easiest option?’ Lauren becomes visibly emotional and says: Mark replies: ‘Because you’re the one I love. ‘I don’t love anyone else.’
Lauren replies: ‘I know you love me and frankly I love you too, but it can’t go on like this.’
Mark continues: ‘I wouldn’t mind spending some time with you over Christmas if you were up to it and you know… I just don’t know. ‘I need time to think about things.’

A minute before this conversation, Mark was flirting with co-star Sam Faiers, whom he later got into a taxi with, kissed and walked away, before winking at the camera.
The man walks away and Lauren turns her face away and wipes a tear from her face before she begins to cry as an emotional song plays in the background.
Mark is then seen leaning against a car outside the stately home, talking on the phone to his friend James Argent.
‘Arg sorry man I had to go. All the girls drive me crazy. Listen, Merry Christmas, I’ll talk to you tomorrow. He says goodbye before getting into the backseat of the taxi.
But the shock factor hits when it’s revealed that co-star Samantha Faiers was waiting for him in the taxi and the pair held hands before sharing a passionate kiss.
People on social media were appalled by the clip, branded “cruel” and “vile” for Mark’s behavior towards Lauren, whom he has been in a relationship with for eight years.
They commented: ‘He was so cruel for that – he asked what she wanted for Christmas (and that poor cow was mean and said go to New York thinking she was getting engaged) and then said NOTHING? What was the point of asking?’;
‘What a disgusting job it was and how his mother supported all his bad behaviour’;
