Mark Zuckerberg buys $150M Miami mansion: Meta CEO joins Jeff Bezos in ‘billionaire bunker’ | World News

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have reportedly increased their extensive real estate holdings in one of the world’s most exclusive regions. The couple plans to purchase a newly completed luxury waterfront mansion on Indian Creek, a gated artificial island known as the “Billionaire’s Lair.”
The deal, valued at $150 million to $200 million, puts Zuckerberg in a neighborhood that has served as a haven for the world’s most powerful leaders and celebrities.

The property is being sold by a limited liability company affiliated with Jersey Mike’s Subs founder Peter Cancro, according to the Wall Street Journal. Although the exact price is not publicly available, sources close to the deal suggest that the price could reach $200 million.
This valuation showed that demand for land in Indian Creek was increasing. Last year, an undeveloped plot of similar size nearby sold for an impressive US$105 million.
Architectural marvel: Life by the sea
Located just across Biscayne Bay, the mansion is an example of modern luxury. Notable features of the property include:
– Spacious design: Large terraces wrap around the corners of the building, offering panoramic ocean views.
– lush landscape: CMA Design Studio’s renderings show intricate water features, a private pool, and distinctive blue shutters.
– special access: A private pier for direct sea travel to and from the island.
Inside the ‘billionaire bunker’
Indian Creek is a high-security, man-made island with its own police department and a prestigious golf course at its center. Zuckerberg’s move to the island underscores its position as a leading destination for global wealth.
Its new neighbors will include a list of the ultra-rich:
– founder of Amazon: Jeff Bezos
– sports icons: Tom Brady and the Beckhams
– financial leaders: Carl Icahn and Norman Braman
A warm welcome from the next room
Zuckerberg’s immediate neighbors will be billionaire auto tycoon Norman Braman and his wife Irma Braman. In a brief statement, Irma confirmed that the tech leader plans to move into the property later this year.
“We’re happy to have him,” he told the Wall Street Journal, noting that Meta’s founder has made a smooth transition to his new high-profile home.
Zuckerberg’s real estate empire
This purchase in Miami adds another asset to Zuckerberg’s extensive property collection. It currently owns significant properties:
– Lake Tahoe: Luxury retreats in Northern California.
– Kauai, Hawaii: A large, controversial compound on the Garden Isle.
– Palo Alto: Meta’s main residence near his headquarters.
