Masterpiece in the making: How your art could hang alongside Monet’s | UK | News

Emerging British artists have the chance to exhibit their work in homes around the world alongside masters such as Van Gogh and Monet.

The pieces will be exhibited in Dolby Vision as part of an event. new competition It is open to artists of all levels, from students to amateurs and experienced professionals.

Launched by TV manufacturer Hisense, the competition includes a grand prize of £1,000 and a 55″ Hisense Canvas TV. The winning entry, along with the works of the other 19 finalists, will be unveiled at a special exhibition at Dolby House in London.

All 20 works will then be displayed on Hisense’s new Canvas TV, a 4K QLED television designed to resemble framed works of art. Switching to Art Mode turns any living room into a gallery.

The Hisense x VIDAA Artwork Competition is run in partnership with Kate Bryan, known for judging Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year on Sky Arts.

“Supporting emerging artists is vital, especially in today’s highly competitive online environment where it can be difficult to get your work seen,” he said.

“It supports artists by ensuring that high-quality digital artworks featured on television screens reach a wider audience at home.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with Hisense UK for this competition and look forward to the showcase finale event, which provides a great opportunity to bring people together to experience art for themselves.”

Applications are open until midnight on Sunday, December 14, 2025 and there is no limit on applications. Artists can participate by uploading digital versions of their work via the Hisense UK website. Both new and past studies are eligible.
