Maya Jama reveals her mad dash back to the UK as she goes from England’s World Cup game in Miami straight to the airport to host Love Island’s Aftersun

Maya Jama joked she was glad she didn’t miss her flight as she made a quick return to England from England’s World Cup match in Miami on Saturday night.

The presenter was unable to join other England fans celebrating at the Hard Rock Stadium after Thomas Tuchel’s team beat Norway 2-1 in the quarter-finals.

Instead, Maya met her taxi outside the stadium with her luggage so she could get to the airport to fly back to London to host ITV2’s Love Island Aftersun at 10pm.

Celebrating the win in the back of a car holding a large glass of white wine, Maya said in an Instagram video: ‘I parked my car outside the stadium with my suitcases so I could watch the match and now I’m heading towards the airport.

‘He’s coming home. ‘I’ll get off and go straight to Aftersun, you’ll see me on live TV as soon as possible.’

In the next video, the presenter was seen wearing the same white tank top and jeans while reassuring fans the night before that he was coming to the studio.

He joked in the opening moments: ‘Glad to be back, glad I didn’t miss my flight… Can you imagine if it could be Casey? [O’Gorman] hosting’.

The star also took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her experience raising her bubble finger in England as John Stones watched with his wife Olivia during the quarter-final football match.

Maya looked amazing in her white halter top and navy linen shorts as she threw her arms up in the air to celebrate her big win.

This comes after Maya gave a glimpse into her jet-setting summer in a new Instagram post last week after setting tongues wagging by enjoying a day out with a hunky chef.

The star shared a gallery of photos showing off her wild antics in recent weeks, including boozy nights out and an evening twerking at Bad Bunny’s London show.

Offering a glimpse into her luxurious lifestyle, Maya also shared photos of herself eating fried chicken on her private jet during a last-minute trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a Bad Bunny concert.

The star showed off her comfortable look at the fashion shows with her eye-catching printed trousers and tight white vest.

Maya has been traveling back and forth between England and Mallorca while filming the new series of Love Island.

She is also making the most of her single status after splitting from Manchester City star Ruben Dias in April.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Maya spent a flirty evening with chef James Freeman.

The TV star was seen hugging the handsome chef outside his restaurant Acre in Notting Hill, West London.

Maya was spending the afternoon at a popular restaurant with a group of friends before heading out for a chat with James, 27.

At one point during the intimate conversation, the two hugged each other before James took Maya’s hands in his.

But the Manchester City star has since insisted he wasn’t cheating and said Maya ‘deserves all the respect in the world’.
