PM Modi extends greetings on the conclusion of Chhath Puja

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished people across the country the end of the four-day Chhath Puja and prayed for the welfare and prosperity of all devotees.

Modi went to X to express his happiness over the successful completion of the festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya.

Extending his good wishes to the devotees and festival observers of the festival, the Prime Minister said, “We heartily congratulate all our family members who are a part of this holy festival along with all the fasters! May the boundless grace of Chhathi Maiya enlighten all your lives forever.”

Devotees across the country offered’Usha Arghya‘ To the rising Sun on Tuesday morning. This marks the end of Chhath Puja. Thousands of people gathered along river banks, ponds and ghats to perform rituals and pray for prosperity and prosperity.
People flocked to ghats and riverbanks in large numbers in Bihar for ‘Usha Arghya’. Security personnel have been posted at the major ghats to ensure the celebrations run smoothly.
Delhi’s Yamuna Ghat also witnessed heavy footfall as devotees offered arghya to the rising Sun. ITO’s Hathi Ghat was illuminated with devotees performing the closing rituals of Chhath amid hymns and hymns.
The four-day Chhath Mahaparv began with the Nahay-Khay ritual on 25 October, followed by Kharna on 26 October, Sandhya Arghya (evening offerings) on 27 October and ended with Usha Arghya (morning offerings) on 28 October.
