Meghan Markle has been described as “fighting at every corner” as royal expert Ingrid Seward points out she needs to make a significant change. The 44-year-old actress will make a shock return to the UK next month and will be joined by Prince Harry and his children.

The family, who may have been set to stay in the royal residence offered to them by the King, are returning so Harry can take part in the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. The event will reportedly take place in Birmingham on July 10, the same day Prince William hosts his annual polo event in Windsor.

Speaking about Meghan’s return, Ms Seward told New Magazine that she needed to appear in Britain to make a significant change: creating a perfect image.

The royal, who launched her brand As Ever last year, has seen her popularity dwindle further over the last few years, especially after stepping down from royal duties in 2020.

Ms Seward said Meghan “needs to visit the UK”, adding: “It’s going to be challenging to come here and face that… She knows she’s under fire and the ‘under fire’ image is not good for her brand.”

“He’s fighting at every corner, so he needs to project a great image to continue building his brand and business.”

The expert added: “They need to come, or rather Meghan needs to come. She really needs some royal stardust sprinkled on her and her business if she wants to be successful.”

Following confirmation of their visit, royal fans began speculating about where the family might stay during the trip, following which the King reportedly made a suggestion to his youngest son.

It is not yet known whether the couple have accepted the King’s offer and whether the Sussexes will have police protection during their visit.

Meghan was married to the couple’s late Queen Elizabeth II. He has not been to England since September 2022, when he attended Elizabeth’s funeral.
