Meghan Markle’s sweet nods to family in new products that fans missed | Royal | News

Meghan Markle’s new holiday collection for As Ever included a few sweet nods to her parents, Prince Harry, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex unveiled her first festive collection on Tuesday evening.

As Ever’s holiday range includes new additions to its usual products; for example, two candles inspired by the wedding date and birthday, retailing at £48 each, hot sale kits and a new sparkling wine. Expanding the spread range, Meghan has also introduced a special fruit spread gift set for £31, which includes raspberry, orange marmalade and strawberry varieties. Elsewhere in the collection, it has launched the Honey Duo Gift Set, which includes wildflower and orange blossom, priced at £46.

Here, Express looks at products that are sweet gifts for his family and special moments.

Signature Candle #519 for the wedding day

The signature candle, named 519, is said to be “inspired by the comfort and joy of Meghan’s wedding day, which holds her most treasured memories,” on May 19, 2018, according to the company’s website.

The website’s description states that the scent brings feelings of “warm sunshine and blue skies, surrounded by love and laughter.”

The brand said the bright and uplifting candle scent features Moroccan mint leaves, white tea leaves and a base note of woody cardamom, and will fill the room with a “soothing, inviting scent” that’s Meghan’s favorite.

Moroccan mint leaves are also an important note, as the Sussexes visited Morocco in February 2019, their last trip before welcoming Archie in May.

Signature Candle No. 084

As Ever’s second candle is a tribute to Meghan Markle’s birthday and hometown.

The Duchess of Sussex was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, on August 4.

The brand said it was a nod to Meghan’s birthday as well as celebrating the warmth of her home.

With notes that include water lily, earthy sandalwood, and California poppy, it is said to fill the room with “fragrant sweet wood, delicate florals, and California wildflowers.”

As Ever says: “Each candle in the range reflects a memory or mood linked to Meghan’s own rituals and joyful memories.”

Meghan also launched her brand’s first sparkling wine, the 2021 Vintage Napa Valley Brut. The price was £67 ($89).

Created from California’s Napa Valley pinot noir and chardonnay grapes using the traditional Méthode Champenoise, the new blend features “soft green apple and pear notes, citrus and white peach accents, and a slight hint of star fruit for balanced brightness and a vibrant, elegant finish.”

Since Napa Valley is nearby, the wine is a sweet nod to Harry and Meghan’s home in Montecito, California. This is also a sweet nod to the birthday of Princess Lilibet, who was born on June 4, 2021.

The new holiday window was revealed with a post on Instagram that showed the duchess picking apples, wrapping presents and buttering a turkey.

When asked at an event in early October whether As Ever products would soon be in stores, Meghan said she might consider partnering with major retailers “in the next few years.”

The collection comes as the Duchess of Sussex prepares to launch a holiday special on streaming giant Netflix.
