Melbourne’s protest against Israeli President Isaac Herzog

As Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the site of the Bondi Beach terror attack on Monday, Australian Associated Press reporter Farid Farid asked: “As we stand here in this majestic place where 15 people were indiscriminately killed, protests are planned in Sydney today for people mourning the 70,000 people killed in Gaza, including 20,000 children. Can you consider what the message, if any, is to the protesters?”

He responded: “These demonstrations, in many cases, what you hear and what you see, are intended to undermine and delegitimize our right, the right of my nation, the existence of the nation of which I am head of state, and are contrary to what has been said and done by Australia.
