Met Office weather maps are predicting rain in parts of England on Wednesday, as some areas brace for more unsettled conditions. The forecaster said it would “remain cloudy and cool in the far north on Tuesday, with light showers possible. Elsewhere it will be dry and sunny, with some warm sunshine.”
While the rain will fall in scattered showers on Tuesday and Wednesday and remain largely confined to northern Scotland on Thursday and Friday, forecasters believe this weekend could be a bust for many.
Temperatures are expected to remain warm in other parts of the country. The south of England and Wales are experiencing the best weather conditions this week, while in London high temperatures range from 25 to 28 degrees for the rest of the week, with sun and cloud forecast.
As the unsettled weather continues, Cardiff will experience record high temperatures of 25C to 27C until Saturday, when the sun gives way to clouds and the mercury drops to 22C, with drizzle forecast for Sunday. The Met Office’s forecast for the rest of July also said: “This period looks highly variable with occasional rain likely in many areas.
“Rain will spread south-east across most, if not all, of the UK over this weekend, with subsequent showers followed by further bands of rain looking likely to spread across the south-east next week, interspersed with sunny spells and showers.”
