Met Police investigates five officers over ‘inappropriate’ comments at Kensington Palace
The Metropolitan Police has launched an internal investigation into five Crown and Special Protection officers following allegations of misogynistic behaviour.
The allegations reportedly stem from a formal complaint made by a staff member at Kensington Palace in October 2024.
According to The Sun, female staff reported a series of “inappropriate” comments between August 2023 and September 2024.
A Met spokesman said in a statement: “The behavior reported falls below the high standards expected of officers, particularly those in frontline protective roles.
“As a result of our internal investigation into this matter, officers took reflective practice to evaluate their actions and identify future learning.
“Ensuring all officers and staff uphold the highest standards of professionalism remains a priority for the Met, so we can continue to build trust and confidence with the people we serve.”
It was found that the officers’ conduct did not meet the threshold for misconduct.
But senior Royal Household staff have decided to prevent them from working in any palaces in the future by removing their access passes, The Sun reports.
