The Duchess Sophie went to Wiltshire today to meet the 105 -year -old Royal sailors Senior James ‘Jim’ Wren. On Tuesday morning, he received tea with the war hero and his family at Sarum Manor Care Home in Salisbury.
Jim showed some old photographs of Edinburgh when he was a couple. The photos contained a black and white picture of his old fleet and a commando dagger.
Java Far East War Club, the boss of 1942, visited Jim on Friday before the 80th anniversary of the VJ Day.
The Duchess said: “I am very pleased to meet you, thank you for having me. To meet you honor for me.” He sat with four generations of family, including Jim and his daughter
