How was the results calculated?
* In 2023-24, waste water samples were collected from the cities of Başkent and the treatment facilities in Regional Australia.
* In the samples, samples were taken every two months and one week in four months in regional areas.
* 61 sites participated in the report, 22 Başkent cities and regional areas of a population of 39, 14.5 million people or approximately 57 percent of the total population covers
What drugs are the increase?
* Methamphetamine and MDMA reached record levels in the capitals
* Eroin was at record levels in regional areas
* Cocaine, alcohol and cannabis increased in the capitals
* Oxicodon and fentanyl consumption increased in regional areas
Which areas used the largest different drugs?
* Methamphetamine had the highest average consumption in the regional regions in South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria
* The highest average cocaine consumption is in Sydney
* Darwin and Sydney recorded the highest MDMA consumption
* Cannabis consumption was the highest in Hobart
Will the drug consumption continue to increase?
* While the estimated street value of the drugs consumed by Australians decreases compared to 2022-23, increasing use is expected.
