Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were dispatched to the blaze at Rushey Green in Lewisham.

Teams are working to extinguish the fire that broke out in a 3-storey children’s room, where part of the roof burned.

The Brigade Control Office received the first of 17 emergency calls at 6.37pm and sent crews from Bromley, East Greenwich, Peckham and several nearby stations to the scene.
