Millions of backyard pools recalled after tragic child drownings exposed

Producers Bestway, Intex and Polygrup produced recalled pools with an external compression strap aimed at stabilizing the structure. However, the belt accidentally provided a basis and allowed young children to climb into uncontrolled pools.
