Minister for Home directs police to install CC cameras in public places

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Monday (March 30) directed the Police department to install more CC cameras in public places, including the outskirts of the city, as video footage will enable the department to obtain accurate evidence in cases of crime, road accidents and other cases.

He inspected the rural police station and the sub-jail and subsequently interacted with police officials regarding pending cases, facilities in the sub-jail and the police station. He asked the police to maintain proper records and make optimum use of technology while dealing with difficult cases.

Vizianagaram’s in-charge minister Ms. Anitha later attended the district development review meeting held at the Collector’s office. MSME Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, Vizianagaram MLA Aditi Vijaya Lakshmi, Collector S. Ramsundar Reddy, Joint Collector S. Sedhu Madhavan and others were present.
