The Met Office has released new widespread warnings for the wind. Yellow air warnings will take place on Sunday, September 14, 20:00 and Monday, September 15 at 18:00. The new 22 -hour warning covers the entire Southern England, Wales and Midlands.
While the wind is expected to hit the interior of 45-55 miles / hour, the winds can hit 60-70 miles / hour from time to time along the shores and hills. The warning says that strong Western or southwest winds will reach the southwest England and Wales coastal regions on Sunday evening and then develop more widely on Monday morning. The winds will slowly relax from the west until the afternoon and until Monday evening.
The British are warned that strong and Gusty winds will travel to the travel and interruptions to power.
There may be some delays in road, railway, air and ferry transport. Some coastal roads, sea facades and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.
