Wales’ seismic day as huge amount at stake for Steve Tandy and Craig Bellamy

The two teams will play approximately 850 miles away from each other, although they have made preparations for their respective fixtures in the same vicinity.
Both the football and rugby teams train at the Vale Resort in Hensol, about 20 minutes’ drive from the center of Cardiff.
Naturally, when both teams are housed in luxury facilities at the same time, there are regular transitions around the training ground.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, rugby captain and hooker Dewi Lake wished the football team good luck in their competition in Liechtenstein.
Cardiff winger Alex Mann has spoken of his close relationship with Cardiff City winger Isaak Davies and his pride in seeing his childhood friend receive another senior call-up from Craig Bellamy.
“He was one of my best friends since I was young, so we grew up together at school,” Mann said of Davies.
“It gives me goosebumps thinking about it. We were doing well and we always said to each other in class that we wanted to play for Wales, him in football and me in rugby.
“It’s a great honor for him to be called up on Sunday and come to watch the game; he’s lucky enough to get the opportunity.
“Considering it was our dream to be at Aberdare, it’s pretty surreal that we’re both getting this chance at the same time.
“I’m really proud of him to be honest. We’re similar people, we’ll keep our heads down, keep working hard and hopefully we’ll get opportunities.”
