Player moves, deals, pick trades and more with Clayton Oliver, Charlie Curnow, Christian Petracca, Zach Merrett in the mix for new clubs
If Carlton leaves, it is impossible for Charlie Curnow to replace him in 2026.

This is not good news for Michael Voss, who is entering the final year of his contract with Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni out and Elijah Hollands on the trade table.
But that doesn’t mean the Blues shouldn’t consider a trade (which they’re clearly open to doing) if those looking to get the dual-Coleman medal on their books can make a strong offer worthy of one of the competition’s stars.
The right trade right now would give Carlton the support they need to spread their talent around and the way their total player payment (TPP) dollars are spent to become a serious contender again in future seasons if they can find stability in 2026.
Sam Walsh, Harry McKay, Brodie Kemp and Matt Cottrell will be more available, Jagga Smith, who barely appeared, will be fit and more game will be given to a group of talented young players who appeared more frequently after the Blues’ shocking defeat to Port Adelaide in round 16.
Voss knows his stuff. He didn’t use the phrase “Carlton first” by accident during the post-season.
He is determined to show the way to put the general needs of the club before his personal needs.
But he needs at least one excellent, already developed player to fill the gaps left by the exits.
