MLA Somireddy Questions Former CM Jagan’s Roadshows

Nellore: Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy accused former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of ignoring the construction of medical colleges during the latter’s rule but now resorting to political excursions over them.

Speaking to the media at Sarvepalli in Venkatachalam mandal on Thursday, Somireddy alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s promotional tours were only meant to provoke and mislead the public. He wondered what the former CM intended to see in Narsipatnam when the YSRC regime spent only ₹10.7 crore out of the ₹500 crore allocated for the medical college project.

Sarvepalli MLA stated that despite issuing a GO in August 2022 and laying the foundation stone in December 2022, the government has completed only 14% of the work without losing power.

“Protests, rallies and creating chaos have become the habit of YSRCP. Even after a tragic incident in which a person was crushed during his visit to Rentapalli, Jagan Mohan Reddy showed no humanity. Now he is planning another 60 km promotional tour.” Somireddy observed.

He emphasized that leaders should work for public welfare and not for personal gain or promotion. He asked the former prime minister to put aside his personal interests and focus on initiatives that would truly benefit the people.
