Mohanlal: this moment belongs to Malayalam cinema

On Tuesday, an experienced actor Mohanlal said that it was “magical and sacred” to get the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the greatest honor dedicated to the country’s Malayalam cinema and selective viewers.

The actor said one day he would never “dare to imagine,” he would receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. “It’s not even in my craziest dreams. So this is not a dream, it’s much bigger. Magical and sacred. He revives me in gratitude and responsibility,” he said.

The actor said he was humble because he was the youngest buyer of the award and that he was only second from Kerala after the filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who was honored in 2004.
