Grand Sumo Tournament in London begins with ancient ceremony | Sport

A special ceremony was held to open the Grand Sumo Tournament in London.
It is only the second time the tournament has been held outside Japan as organizers seek to capitalize on growing worldwide interest in Japan’s national sport.
Footage shows the ground being cleared to ensure the ring is spiritually ready for the five-day competition at the Royal Albert Hall.
The venue had to make significant adjustments to accommodate wrestlers’ needs, including introducing new chairs that could hold up to 200kg of weight and installing reinforced toilets.
