The footage shows the moment the father who killed his wife and used his child to get away with the murder was arrested.

Robert Rhodes, 52, killed his wife Dawn at the family home in Surrey in 2016 after their marriage broke down.

As part of a plan to “get rid of mummy”, Rhodes had the child call 999, during which he said his wife had attacked him and their children with a knife. To support his claims, Rhodes stabbed himself and cut off the child’s arm.

Rhodes, of Withleigh, Devon, was jailed for a minimum of 29 years and six months after a rare double jeopardy hearing at Inner London Crown Court; where he was also found guilty of two counts of perjury, perverting the course of justice and cruelty to children for false evidence at the Old Bailey and Family Courts in 2018.
