Machine gun-toting police dramatically arrested three suspects on a London Underground platform in front of horrified passengers.

Armed officers were seen swarming onto the platform of St James’s Park Station in the capital’s busy West End.

Everything seemed normal at the popular District and Circle Line station until police dressed in all black and carrying machine guns with torches descended on the station.

In the video taken from the opposite platform, a suspect is seen leaning against the wall, raising his hands, and then being dragged to the ground by a police officer.

The other two were sitting on a bench and were forced to the ground in full view of stunned London Underground customers.

Among them, four police officers force the suspects to the ground, pointing their guns at them and shouting.

While the three suspects were lying on the ground, three more police officers arrived at the scene.
