Moment ‘queue jumping’ row erupts at Chessington as families wait for new Paw Patrol World ride on opening day

Following a £15 million investment from Chessington World of Adventures, it’s a highly anticipated opening for families who love the hit children’s TV show.
But the first day of ‘World of Paw Patrol’ turned into chaos yesterday after a massive row broke out over Zuma’s alleged queuing for the Hovercraft Adventure.
The incident at the popular theme park in South West London is understood to have started when a father and his children left the queue to use the toilet and returned.
A man standing in front of the returning family in the queue was seen protesting angrily, refusing to let them pass and accusing them of ‘playing the race card’.
In another video, a woman is seen arguing with the attendant at the front, claiming that her family members went out to use the restroom and tried to go back in.
The discussion was filmed by Eastbourne-based content creator brothers Ben and Jacob, who reviewed the theme park attractions and posted on their site.Driving Comparisons‘ channel.
In the Facebook comments of the video, the man who blocked the alleged queue jumper identified himself as Luke Tickner, from Whiteley in Hampshire, and posted a photo of himself having a drink in a pub and said: ‘We’ve done well after today. I could rent myself out to Merlin.’
Filmed on Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure (the UK’s first ‘drifter’ ride), the clip begins with one of the brothers saying to the camera: ‘Oh my god lads, there’s a lot of people tail-jumping in here. I think we’re going to have something of a Zuma Hovercraft ride here.’

The man (left) claims he has been accused of racism, which he vehemently denies. He also tells the man accused of queuing: ‘You’ll be on YouTube tonight.’
A woman was also seen arguing with the attendant at the front of the queue, claiming that her family had left the queue to go to the toilet and was trying to get back in.
The woman in front then tells the officer: ‘So they came back. Now the person standing there does not allow the children to come in or come near us. Could you please take a look because it’s not like that…’
One of the brothers says to the officer: ‘They are trying to get in line. And they were stopped by someone.’
The officer says: ‘Because if you leave, you have to inform one of us.’
The woman replies: ‘Okay, we didn’t know.’
The officer then tells him: ‘I can have security check it out. We can have security check it. They will check if you are staying here and come back. If so, we’ll do it now.’
But the woman says: ‘No, they went to the toilet and came back.’
The footage then cuts to the scene where two men argue in line; Mr Tickner blocks the person who allegedly jumped in the queue and tells him: ‘You’re calling me a racist, you’re wrong, you’re absolutely wrong.’
One of the brothers says: ‘Oh, he pulled the race card. Oh no! Oh dear! haha. Tail-jumping fights for Zuma’s Hovercraft were not on my 2026 bingo card!’
The alleged queue jumper tells Mr Tickner: ‘You’re wrong’.
But the man answers him: ‘You are wrong too. You’ll be on YouTube tonight.’
The person who allegedly jumped in the queue then says: ‘I don’t care.’ Then everyone laughs.
Mr Tickner continues: ‘I didn’t do anything wrong. Now you’re the one pulling the race card. We do not allow you to pass to skip the queue. Everybody here is lining up.’
And the person who allegedly jumped in the queue says: ‘You have a problem.’

Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure in World of Paw Patrol is an ‘immersive’ ride, the first of its kind in the UK, that simulates the sliding and spinning sensation of drifting a high-performance vehicle.
One of the brothers concludes: ‘Be fair to this man, he’ll stop jumping in the queue. What a legend. I’m so glad to have you.’
Everyone applauds and takes out their cameras, and one of the brothers adds: ‘Good for him. Here we go guys, don’t line up, don’t do it!’
On the Chessington website queue jumping is defined as ‘attempting to access a game, entertainment or any other item that requires a queue or queuing system through unauthorized means’.
These methods are listed as ‘blocking other guests in the queue, trying to leave the queue and re-entering the same place, or reserving a seat for someone who is not in the queue.’
World of Paw Patrol is a new, immersive experience for kids on 1.4 acres; It features four new toys, three themed play areas and themed treats inspired by ‘Adventure Bay’ in the show about a boy and his team of rescue dogs.
Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure is a ‘drifter’ ride, the first of its kind in the UK, that simulates the sliding and spinning sensation of drifting a high-performance vehicle. Five Paw Patrol-themed hotel rooms have also opened in the park.
Chessington hosted a special preview day on Saturday, attended by Celebrity Traitors stars Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed, as well as VIP guests including BBC presenter Alex Jones, Made in Cheslea’s Hugo Taylor and Olympian Greg Rutherford.
