The man who planned the kidnapping ITV presenter Holly Willoughby was caught with photos of her in her prison cell. Gavin Plumb’s collection was found hidden under the bed by prison officers. Plumb is “still obsessed with Holly,” according to a source who collected the images from magazines.
The footage was found during a search of HMP Long Lartin, Worcs, where Plumb, 39, is currently serving 15 years in prison for a plot to attack Willoughby. It appears that he lost his privileges as a result.
Source told Sun: “Plumb is an absolutely despicable individual with a very strange aura around him. Plumb is still completely obsessed and completely unscrupulous.
“He was once asked about his crimes and replied: ‘Who wouldn’t want to kidnap Holly and rape her?’ He was really smug about it.”
Plumb, who was jailed in July 2024 for inciting Holly’s murder, kidnapping and rape, had his cell searched after his behavior caused concern.
The source added: “Plumb was wandering around the landing collecting other inmates’ TV magazines and searching through them for photos of Holly.”
They continued: “Someone might have told the guards, so they [searched] They found a file full of pictures of Holly in his cell and destroyed it. “No one is that surprised because Plumb isn’t trying to hide his obsession with her.”
Willoughby resigned on This Morning after the ordeal, saying: “I have to make this decision for myself and my family.”
Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy said: “A man jailed for such compulsive crimes should not be able to receive photographs of his victim behind bars. “From drugs and guns to obscene material, there is a huge problem with smuggling in prisons.
“Instead of releasing criminals early and handing out lenient sentences, Labor should address security.”
A Prison Service spokesman said: “These prisoners’ crimes were despicable and it is right that they are behind bars where they belong. We are tackling drugs, drones and illicit substances at Long Lartin with stronger physical security and better staff.”
