More murder charges for teens involved with Machete murders of two children

New murder charges have been laid against a group who allegedly killed two boys with a machete in Melbourne last year.
Eight people have been charged in the murders of 15-year-old Dau Akeung and 12-year-old Chol Achiek, which occurred on September 6, 2025.
Allegedly, two friends were ambushed and killed by a group of boys affiliated with a youth gang while returning home from basketball at around 20:00 in the evening.

It is claimed that two children were cut to death with machetes.
After initially charging a Thornhill man and four teenagers with Dau’s murder and a Caroline Springs man, a Wollert man and a teenage boy with Chol’s murder, police charged all eight people with both murders.
The accused persons are between 15 and 20 years old.
They will all remain in police custody and appear in court at a later date.
More to come.
