More than 20 injured in blast at Rome petrol station

More than 20 people, including nine police officers and a firefighter, were injured in a large explosion at a gas station in the eastern part of Rome.

The website Rome has published a photo of a great flame and smoke rising to the sky today.

Separate images published by the Firefighters showed that the gas station was almost completely screaming.

In addition to the first intervention teams, 16 civilians were wounded in the explosion on Friday, including the manager of the station.

He said no one was in a life -threatening situation.

Health officials, five people were taken to hospital with small burns and shredded glass injuries.

The large explosion in the gasoline, diesel and liquefied oil gas distributor in the Prenestino neighborhood was heard in the Italian capital immediately after 8 am.

According to local reports, firefighters and ambulance workers were exploded for being called to the scene after hitting a pipeline on a truck’s fuel distributor.

The fire spread to a nearby warehouse and the shock wave from the explosion damaged nearby buildings.
