TDP MLC alleges corruption among vigilance officials to A.P. CM Naidu

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC Bhumireddy Ramagopal Reddy informed Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu that some of the vigilance and enforcement officials are not taking action on complaints against corrupt officials.

Mr. Reddy cited the example of twelve persons allegedly involved in illegal transportation of rice destined for public distribution in Kadapa district. “People belonging to YSRCP continue to be involved in crime by greasing the palms of V&E officials,” he accused.

In the letter submitted to Mr Naidu on Monday, January 05, 2026, he alleged that his complaint against corrupt persons had become a ‘cash cow’ for ‘equally corrupt vigilance officers’.

Apart from rice smuggling, the authorities never investigated the allegations in the Pulivendula municipality and the indiscriminate transportation of limestone from Mangampeta to Chennai via Renigunta.

“Even the Central Vigilance Commission’s directive to investigate the poor quality of roads laid during the previous YSRCP regime was ignored,” Mr. Ramagopal Reddy said while appealing to Mr. Naidu to act tough against corruption.
