Morrisons has announced changes to its cafes across the country. Although the British supermarket chain has closed some of its cafes across the country, some remain and are popular with local customers. Morrisons has revealed its new summer cafe menu and it includes a rival to the popular McDonald’s dish. The supermarket promises comforting classics, light snacks and family-friendly deals on its menu.

The star of the show is the brand-new Big Breakfast Wrap, a rival to the popular McDonald’s breakfast wrap. However, Morrisons breakfast will be open all day, while McDonald’s will end its breakfast menu at a certain time each day. It consists of two English sausages, two strips of bacon, two crispy fries, a fried egg and a slice of melted cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla for £6.50.

The summer menu also includes new Chicken Breast Skewers or Boneless Crispy Chicken Bites (£7.50), each served with rice, chips or wraps, as well as Fish Butty (£7.50) and Cheese and Onion Quiche (£7.50), served with chips and beans.

Will Reed, Senior Cafe Commercial Manager at Morrisons, said: “While other high street retailers are restricting their breakfast wraps to mornings only, we are delighted to introduce The Big Breakfast Wrap, available throughout the day.

“Our customers won’t need to rush in the morning. Whenever they want, Big Breakfast Wrap is ready to enjoy each dish served with value in mind as part of our exciting Café summer menu refresh.”
