Morrisons update as customers told to act before June deadline | UK | News

Morrisons shoppers are being encouraged to check their apps after the supermarket launched a new loyalty offer that could land them a big reward.

The retailer is offering selected customers the chance to get 10% back on their spend if they spend £250 before June 30.

The promotion is delivered through the Morrisons More loyalty program and is available to eligible members via the app.

To take part, customers simply scan their More Card when shopping in store or ensure their card is linked to their online Morrisons account.

Spending is automatically tracked and customers can track their progress via the Morrisons More app, website or through their receipts.

Morrisons has also confirmed that shoppers do not need to complete a major store haul to qualify. Instead, multiple purchases made before the end of the month will count towards the £250 target.

The supermarket said: “You can shop as little and as often as you like to increase your total shopping, which includes all your purchases both in store and online as long as you swipe your Morrisons More card with each transaction.” Online spending is also included in the target, but Morrisons has stated that purchases will be added to the customer’s total for up to 72 hours after delivery.

However, the offer will not be open to everyone.

Morrisons has confirmed that the promotion is only open to selected More Card members and that eligible shoppers can check for invitations via the homepage of the Morrisons More app or website.

Those who successfully spend £250 before the end of June will receive a voucher worth 10% of their qualifying spend.

The reward will be added to the ‘My Offers’ section of their account within 72 hours of completing the challenge, but customers will need to activate the reward before redeeming it in store or online.

The loyalty scheme isn’t the only change Morrisons customers may have noticed recently.

The supermarket has begun trialling AI-powered shopping trolleys at its Riversway store in Preston. The high-tech carts, known as Caper Carts, feature touch screens, cameras, sensors and built-in scales that can automatically identify items when they are placed inside, allowing customers to track their purchases in real time.
