Mother Of Five Students Receives ₹65,000 Under Thalliki Vandanam Scheme

Nellore: The Andhra Pradesh government’s Thalliki Vandanam scheme has benefited a family in Buchireddypalem in Kovur Assembly constituency, with the mother of five school-going children receiving £65,000 in educational assistance.

Buchireddypalem resident SK Sarpunnisa has five children studying in the local Urdu School. Under the scheme, ₹13,000 was deposited in the bank account for each child, taking the total assistance to ₹65,000.

The case was highlighted by organizers as an example of the program providing financial assistance to every eligible child in the family. They said the previous YSRC government’s Amma Vodi scheme provided ₹13,000 assistance to only one child per family, irrespective of the number of children studying.

Sarpunnisa visited the VPR office in Nellore along with her children and expressed gratitude through Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and education minister Nara Lokesh for providing all their children with the assistance under the scheme.

Telugu Desam Nellore Parliament general secretary Chejerla Venkateswara Reddy and local party leaders were present.
