Mother’s Day hit and run: E-scooter accident puts Melbourne mum of five in induced coma

A mother of five has been left in a coma following a horrific hit-and-run tragedy on Mother’s Day.

Tania Kerr was hit by a car while riding an e-scooter home from a friend’s house in Melbourne at around 12.20am on Sunday, May 10.

The white sedan car did not stop at the scene.

Ms Kerr was seriously injured and treated by neighbors at the scene until emergency services arrived.

The 41-year-old man was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital where he remained in a coma with critical head injuries and spinal cord injuries.

Miss Kerr’s partner Kayla Grech has issued a message to the misleading driver who left her partner for dead.
