Motorcyclist, pedestrian killed in Sunshine Coast crash

A motorcyclist and a pedestrian died in an accident on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
The forensic collision unit will investigate the incident in which a 68-year-old woman and a 30-year-old motorcyclist lost their lives.
The accident occurred in Warana at around 20.10 on Saturday.
Police said the woman was trying to cross Nicklin Road, the main road in the area.
A police spokesman said the motorcyclist was heading south when he hit the woman.
The woman and the motorcycle driver died at the scene. Police said the woman lived in Warana and the man lived in nearby Golden Beach.
“Anyone with information that could assist police, including anyone with relevant CCTV footage of the vehicles, is asked to contact police,” the spokesman said.
“Forensic Accident Unit investigations continue.”
